Reporting to the CEO, the SVP, IT/ CIO is responsible for all technology related matters including strategic direction and continued aggressive growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively engage, influence and collaborate across the company to achieve a consistent, business-aligned IT strategy
  • Monitor and drive the performance of IT-related systems and services in terms of their contribution to business performance and benefits to the business
  • Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies and procedures for the IT department and ensure it has the right skills and talent to deliver on strategy
  • Establish an operating model that provides clarity of roles and expectations, and delivers a consistent experience across the company
  • Participate visibly and actively in stakeholder management to gain approval, funding, marketing & sponsorship for new ideas
  • Expand technology’s capability to ensure high impact within the network operations and allow the organization to scale
  • Create or streamline IT processes that create opportunities for overall organizational efficiency
  • Define IT innovation across the organization and lead its execution across the company – identifying and assessing emerging and new technologies, determining their potential value, and leading discussions on short, medium and longer term impact and opportunities
  • Identify and leverage opportunities aligned to business objectives through partnerships and/or deepening relationships with external customers
  • Negotiate and review major contracts for computing and IT services and equipment
  • Oversee and manage IT and capital expenditures and communicate results and performance to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Manage IT financial strategy by defining investment framework, financial strategy and IT budget
  • Participate on the Executive team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of software development and IT

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent combination of other university degree and IT experience
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in an executive IT position
  • Experience leading and managing a team of 50+
  • Experience being the master IT strategist for a high growth business
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with a demonstrated client-centered focus
  • Skilled in project management and able to manage multiple priorities while still delivering to deadlines
  • Strong analytical capability along with creative problem solving and effective decision-making skills
