Associate Project Manager/ Business Analyst

Location: Toronto (Downtown)

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Associate Project Manager/ Business Analyst to join their downtown Toronto team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise and support to business managers/executives and IT to determine optimal approaches for the implementation, support and use of business solutions.
  • Strategic Planning & Research to ensure that any solutions developed are aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles, leveraging common solutions and services, and meeting financial targets in terms of both costs and benefits.
  • Act as the primary analyst for general Business Processes, interacting with all levels of the Business verbally and in writing to determine business requirements and to select optimal approaches for addressing those requirements.
  • Implements and maintains formal solution methodologies. Builds and maintains repositories for deliverables, methodologies and development artifacts.
  • Maintains oversight of projects including recruitment, scheduling and supervision of contract resources as necessary. Works along with the Manager, Project Management to define project objectives and success criteria.
  • Leads research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities and procurement efforts.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of projects that move ideas from ideation to incubation, prototyping and execution.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma in the field of Business Management, computer science, or a related discipline
  • Experience analyzing and documenting business processes
  • Experience in selecting, negotiating with, and managing external and/or offshore consultants
  • Experience with multiple full project lifecycles from business development to final delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to absorb and present large amounts of detail through various forms of communications
  • Experience creating training material and delivering training
  • Strategic and visionary thinker
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
